Our “World Watermelon Capital” design was inspired by watermelon growers around the world. The inspiration in our own backyard happens to be the nice folks in the Cordele Georgia area. They do an amazing job with their watermelon crops and their hum-dinger festival!

Cordele holds the official title of ” Watermelon Capital of the World.” The Cordele/Crisp County Georgia watermelon festival is called “Watermelon Days Festival.” It is a month long celebration of, you guessed it, watermelon! I wonder how long it will take me, this year, to get Tracy Bird’s words out of my head. “Well ,if you’re ever down in Georgia ’round about July, If you ain’t in a hurry, then you oughta stop by. I can guarantee that you’re gonna have a ball.”
